New Rates and Features for the Kansas Angus News

The first advertising rate increase since 2002 will go into effect with the February 2008 issue of the Ks Angus News . Advertisers will see a rate increase of approximately 20%. While the Ks Angus Association board of directors regrets the increase, it is necessary due to increased postage and printing costs.  Since the last rate change in 2002, postage rates have increased 3 times and printing costs have risen slightly each year. The new rates will still be below the average rate for similar publications.  Also in an effort to minimize publication costs the Ks Angus News will now be published 7 times per year, the March and April issues will be combined. In 2008 the KAN will be published in January, February, March/April, May/June, July/August, September/October and November/December.   Ad/copy deadline is the 10 th of the month prior to publication.

Photo charge will remain the same at $5 per photo. No photo charge for camera ready ads.

The Ks Angus News will be published 7 times per year.

Each issue of the Ks Angus News will now be printed on glossy paper in its entirety.

During the Kansas Angus Association Annual Banquet, KAN advertisers will once again have the opportunity to bid on and purchase the back outside cover of each issue of the Kansas Angus News and, new for 2008, the inside front cover will also be sold at auction on January 25.
